When speed was measured at an American drumming contest, Swede Claes Malmberg proved to have the fastest hand in the world, at 1070 beats per minute. Claes Malmberg has a background in Swedish and American drumming. Lars Östlund has been his instructor. Claes started Scottish pipe band drumming last autumn and competes with our band from the 2007 season.
