New Pipe Major elected 14-10-2007

Robert Wallgren is our new pipe major

This autumn's band meeting elected Robert Wallgren to be our new pipe major.

He is 22 years old and has played pipes in the band since 1995, when P/M Mathias Cramér started teaching him. A few years ago he competed one season in grade one with Chris Armstrong and David Urquhart Travel. In fact Robert has grown up steeped in Scottish culture, since his parents have been country and highland dancers for many years. They have also engaged themselves in the band in may ways.

Krister Bergman who now resigns has been pipe major 2000-2003 and 2003-2007. In 2001 he led the band to victory in grade 3 at the Worlds.

Eugen Qvarnström stays on as Drum Major/Leading Drummer and P/M Mathias Cramér takes responsibility for our grade 4 band.
